Proof

That not only am I alive, but that I do update my blog. And that I have climbed to the top of a mountain. (Mount Ernest Laforce, elev. 820m, 600 of which I climbed by car. Heh.) Picture taken Tues Aug 5, 2008. See, I was at KOL that week.

oopsydoodle

Busy, busy.
I haven't taken any knitting pictures lately, but I'm working on the Cables and O's Cardigan from No Sheep for You.
It's in black superwash wool, and I'm knitting it for two reasons:
I like knitting cables.
It's freezing cold in my office at work.

I finished Grace two weeks ago, have worn it to work a couple of times, and still haven't gotten Richard to take pictures. Maybe tomorrow? (hahahaha... says the eternal procrastinator).

In other news, I found this website doodle that's like an online to-do list. It's nifty because it can be synced with Google calendars (which can in turn be synced with Microsoft Outlook) and with Gmail, and can be accessed online or offline. Fun! I love checking things off a to-do list! Remember the Milk!

Watch me swatch!

Swatching for Grace, from Fiddlesticks Knitting. I love these patterns. For this sweater, she's included fully charted shaping for front and back - in each size! Much, much love for Dorothy Seimens.

oooooh, the halo. yum.

Done the back and I'm 1/2 way up the front now.

Braaaaaiinzz

It's done! More details here.

We tried to make it as deranged looking as possible. Note the teeth, ever-so-slightly curved inward, and the one, giant blood-shot eyeball.

Brainmonster progress

Brainmonster and it's teeth are blocking today, and probably tomorrow, too, because they'll take a while to dry. The hat itself is quite thick, especially the brim. I decided to turn a hem at the bottom instead of doing ribbing like in the original pattern, and to do garter stitch earflaps instead of stockingette. Negotiations for eye type, size and placement are ongoing.

For Mom

This is a picture of the hat I'm making my brother Michael. Mike. Sorry. It is going to be a brain-eating monster hat with big eyes and teeth, and possibly ear-flaps if I have enough yarn.
The yarn is Manos del Uruguay in a colour that reminds me of nothing more than pumpkin pie.
