Something fun

Last night I signed up to participate in a swap organized and done by other blog writers. This one is organized by a nice lady named Scout and some of her friends. The idea is that every participant hand-dyes at least enough yarn for the recipient to knit a pair of socks. Your "dye-o-rama" pal could be in the same city as you, or could be halfway across the world! You have 6 weeks to dye and mail the yarn, and theoretically, someone different is doing the same thing for you. The kicker is that you know who your recipient is, but the person sending yarn to you is a "secret" pal. Nothing is revealed until the end...
I know it sounds a little silly, to sign up for a giant mailing project with over 200! people I've never met before, but there are all sorts of successful craft swaps out there. So why not? I might be put in contact with someone who will become my friend. At the very least, I will get rid of some of the yarn and food colouring I've been hoarding, and recieve a unique present. So hooray! Let the swap begin!
