Finally!

Richard has finally found time to fix the glitch in the computer that will allow me to download pictures!

Of course, I haven't really been taking any pictures...
I'll give you this one though. This is the Clessidra sock from Knitty. I love the colour, love the cables, love the yarn. (So soft!) I started this last night while watching Richard play Super Mario on the wii.
I think that I am in love with knitting cables. I really enjoyed knitting Richard's sweater once I got past the torso that never ended, and I'm zooming through this sock as fast as I can so that I can get to the next cable row. I even like the row just after the cables, although it's a little finicky. The stitches that have just been twisted around are huddled together like a family of brothers and sisters that all just started at a new school in the middle of the year; the rest of the stitches are comfortable with each other, evenly spaced on the needle. The row after the cable is the row where you coax the 'new kids' into spreading out, convincing them that yes, they really do belong here now. And with this new, frightening glimpse into the way my mind works, I think I should show you some pictures already.

I learned how to cable without a cable needle here. Made life so much easier.

Did I mention these aren't for me?

I love the way cables look, but I don't love how slow the cabling row is! Your socks look terrific--what a lot of stitches there must be!
