Cozy
It's been a while since I've participated in the whiplash contest (mostly because I work too too too much) but this month I experienced the whiplash phenomenon (do dooo do doo doo. Phe-no-me-non! Do doo do doo) sorry. Okay. what was I saying? Oh yes, actual whiplash, as it's described on the whiplash website:
I was embroiled in my usual mad scramble in the morning to get myself together and find everything I needed, when I saw the scratch on my phone. Dangit! And I realized that what it needed was something to keep it cushioned and protected, but still easy to find and get out. I thought about going out and buying a case, but I am very much cheapy cheapy and also get no vacation pay when I visit my family and friends next month, and then I finished my delicious stripy socks, and then I saw the reminders about entering the April whiplash, and then I looked at the sad little leftovers and my sad little phone: the results were inevitable.
figure-eight cast on an eyeballed amount of stitches (don't even ask) on those very cool blue needles sent to me by my ksks partner Nicole, knit in the round for 3/4 of the length of the phone, then 1x1 ribbing for the rest, cast off in pattern.
do you see the ding in the screen of my phone?
it looks like a piece of white lint, but that, my friends, is a gouge
“sudden involuntary forced movement in any direction, and the resultant rebound in the opposite direction” = make something quick as a reaction to something inspirational you have seen.

I toyed with the idea of an i-cord loop with button to keep it from slipping out, but it's unnecessary, and would probably get in the way when trying to answer the phone anyhow. The grey-ish white part of the phone along the side of it is actually rubbery (for better grip when talking?) but it serves nicely to keep the phone from slipping out of the cozy, as does the 1x1 ribbing at the top. I may go back and add a larger i-cord loop to the top of the cozy to attach it to the handle of my handbag so it's more easily found (I do a lot of rooting when the phone rings). But I might not.

That's really nice. I came across your blog through... hmm... well, somehow, and wanted to let you know how much I've been enjoying the read. Have a wonderful day!
I'm glad you like the needles :-) I had the same set, but I uhm, broke two by stuffing them into my bag and stuffing the bag into my backpack. Yeah, I'm stupid like that ;-)
