Tiptoe through the tulips

My mom recently sent me some beautiful pictures of the tulips in my parents' garden. Although they don't really compare to yarnstorm's flowers, I still love them. I actually planted some of them myself about two years ago, hoping against hope that I'd be able to use them for my wedding. (They were too early, and past using by the time I got married).

As I was looking at these pictures, I realized that I haven't really seen any tulips in Halifax yet. Definitely some plants , but no flowers this year. So I went for a quick walk today through the neighbourhood (and accidentally ended up near Tim Horton's -- whoops) and it's true, there aren't many tulips flowering yet around here. I saw some of the early red ones, but that's it. Hopefully the best is yet to come.
