Felted Sweater Revisited

It's Aliiiiiiiive!
Remember this?

And this?

After a snip snip here and a snip snip there, I used the sewing machine to make a little bag.

cutting out the bag shape after the bottom has been sewn shut-goodbye sleeve!

The felted fabric was quite firm and I don't think it would unravel, but I wanted to make sure, so I did a little blanket-stitching around what I can't help think of as the "armpits" and "neckline" of the bag. As you can see, I was reading Richard's thesis proposal at the same time.

plain blanket stitch is boring

Et fini!

I didn't post a picture of the sewn bottom because I couldn't get a good one. And I still want to iron the creases and bottom of the bag to give it a little more structure- I'll post a better picture when it's done done and the light is better. (It has been miserable for a week now, I can't get any good pictures of anything at all!) I thought about embroidering some flowers along the wide turquoise band in the middle of the bag, but Richard says it would be too much. Thoughts?

Thoughts? Nick is really hot. I love "Harry Potter" (new movie in 400 days!). I have the cutest nephews ever. I'm glad work is almost over. Oh, did you mean thoughts about your bag? It's very cute. You are way more creative than me.
