My secret swap partner was Tracey, from Vermont! Thank you so much Tracey! I love the purple and white, and can't wait to see what it'll look like, and I'm in love with the red.
Richard gave me the hairy eyeball when I opened the package, because the first thing I did was smell the yarn, and then the next thing I did was shove the sheep in his face. Oh! The sheeeeeep! Can you see in the picture that it's wearing sheep slippers? And the hood on it's bathrobe is a sheep, too. Very cute. There was also a little bit of yummy smelling lotion in there, that's coming with me to work, because my hands get very dry there. (I think it's because so many of the shoe boxes have silica packets in the packaging, which I handle all the time.)
I guess it's time to make some socks! I think I might make a pair like I saw in my Twisted Sisters sock book that has a split toe for wearing with flip flops. Richard and I are going camping next weekend, and it might be nice to have a little project to bring along. OH.... wait. White yarn and camping? Well, we'll see.

In other news, I've been knitting a little bit (hahahaha). Actually, Richard and I have been borrowing Alias from the library and watching it compulsively (Milo! Rimbaldi!) the last two or three weeks, and this is what I've been working on:

This is a blocking-in-progress picture. You can see I elected to try the piece-of-string method rather than my many-stabbing-0f-pins method. I think both have things working for them: with pins, there's no futzing around trying to get loops in the right place, and you can always add another; with the string, you don't need as many pins. And the points all line up (theoretically, anyhow). But I have a question. Am I supposed to put the string in before I wash the thing or after?
Truth be told, I'm waiting for a nice sunny weekend when we're not in no hurry to do anything, and I will take all these things somewhere nice, and then I will ask Richard if he will be my photographer for a photo shoot for ALL of the pretty things I've knitted over the last little bit, even if it's just for my own 'records' (read: brag book.hehe). Pictures then. Maybe I will stretch my clearly superhuman tech powers to figuring out one of those photo albums for the sidebar.
