Been Busy
Well, in response to repeated requests for updates from my rabid fans (aka my nagging conscience, ha!) I will quickly update tonight, and try to put up a longer, more interesting post on Thursday morning.
Last week some friends from back home came to visit us, and we had an absolute blast. We finally made it to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic (very interesting), wandered around downtown in the pouring rain, ate too many fried things, went out to Peggy's Cove, and stayed up too late at night playing cards. As an aside, if you're in Halifax anytime soon and have a chance to go to the museum, the Camera on the Banks exhibit is fantastic- at least, I thought so. And if you go to Peggy's Cove, wear shoes, not sandals. When we were hopping around on the rocks, looking in tidal pools and such, I thought I was for sure going to lose a sandal or turn my ankle. Didn't- but it came close. (And eat supper before you go to Peggy's. The restaurant there is only "okay" and a little overpriced.)
Of course, in true Richard and Valerie spirit, we neglected to acquire any photographic evidence at all of our visitors, so you'll just have to wait until I can nab some pics from Lizardbreath (tee hee, remember that one, Liz?) to see.
And I will have a picture of my hair for you on Thursday, as well. What does that mean? Just wait and see.
