Oops
Richard and I went to Kejimkujik for the long weekend (it's a National Park in Nova Scotia) and although we brought the camera, we neglected to take many pictures. Oops.
Mill Falls
Our campsite. (#285 in the Jim Charles loop, if you wanna know). The drying clothes are very classy, I know.

Our campsite. (#285 in the Jim Charles loop, if you wanna know). The drying clothes are very classy, I know.We had a fabulous time, hiking, canoeing, sitting around a fire. The weather was lovely, the bugs were endurable, and although the park was very full, everyone was pleasant and the bathrooms were clean. I'd do it again in a heartbeat, although I might limit my canoeing to something a little more recreational, keeping in mind that five hours of canoeing hurts the next day if you're as out of shape as I am.
On knitting
Since I don't really have any other picture of Keji that don't look the same as the ones above, I will show you some pictures of my finished dye-o-rama socks. I will say it again, I love love love the way this yarn has knitted up.
I decided to make some flip-flop socks, having seen pictures somewhere and hating to take my socks off if all I'm doing is running down to get the laundry. I made up the pattern as I went, using a picot cuff (which I enjoy doing but which is a little saggy for my liking), a flap heel with ribby-type pattern on it (RS k1, p1 to end, WS p all) and then just trying them on until I could figure out the decreases for the toes. I did cast on 4 extra stitches for the outer toes, and 6 extra for the big toe so that my little piggies wouldn't be uncomfortable.

In the interests of full disclosure, it's a little difficult to take pictures of your own feet. Heh.

Oooh, the socks turned out so well! I've been thinking about what to do with the yarn you sent, and I just don't know yet (other than love it!)! Glad to hear that you had a nice long weekend :)
Glad you had a good camping trip. Your picture of your campsite brings back many good memories!
I have loved reading your blog. It's very interesting. You are a great writer! I will watch for more
Nice tent.
We almost planned on going for an overnighter in a pup tent (the only one we have left, it seems) but thought better of it. I'll just enjoy camping vicariously (is that the word I want?) through your pictures.
Nice socks!
